Windows SmartScreen notice

ScreenAnswer is currently distributed as an unsigned .exe. Because the app is unsigned and may not yet have an established reputation with Microsoft Defender SmartScreen, Windows may show a warning when you open the download. That warning does not automatically mean the file is malicious — it often appears for new or unsigned apps Windows has not seen widely yet.

Only continue if you downloaded ScreenAnswer from the official ScreenAnswer website (this Downloads page). We do not claim any app is “100% safe” — always verify the source before running software.

If you see the SmartScreen warning:

  1. Confirm you downloaded from this official ScreenAnswer Downloads page.
  2. On the warning screen, click More info.
  3. Check that the app name is ScreenAnswer (or ScreenAnswer.exe).
  4. If you trust the official download, click Run anyway.

Chrome extension install (quick)

  1. Open the Chrome Web Store listing → Add to Chrome
  2. Pin ScreenAnswer from the puzzle-piece Extensions menu
  3. Log in with your portal account (3-day trial) or paste a Chrome key, then add a free Groq key

Updates come automatically from the Chrome Web Store.
